Three: Not Always the Magic Number

I have conducted three interviews, all of which were wonderful experiences. Each professional brought unique perspectives to the table, as their backgrounds and focuses were wildly different. Even so, I enjoyed finding the common threads among all three, like the value of communication and technological ability.
While I valued these interviews, I still need to find someone to be a mentor for me. I'd like to meet with another person to keep my options open and make a choice before Christmas break. Many professionals are busy, understandably, and so finding someone willing to take more time out of their day to mentor a high school student is no easy feat. This is why I aim to interview more individuals in this field.
Another goal I have for this next month is to research and develop my original work. I aim to research about the fashion industry and create a report communicating my findings to others. The first step for me is to find all of the information and compile it together. This seems simple, but I'm sure it will be the longest step of creating my original work. However, I am excited to create this. I chose the fashion industry because it's a rapidly changing industry with identifiable trends, but also because fashion is a topic that is interesting to me. I will get to learn more about two of my interests at once: analytics and fashion.
With that being said, I have three main goals: conduct more interviews, find a mentor, and create my original work. These projects will require time management and much focus. The due dates feel far away, but what this year has taught me is that time moves fast and the deadline will come in the blink of an eye.
