Staying Afloat

ISM is challenging me. I am ready to welcome this challenge.

The difficulties of finding professionals who are open to being interviewed open to is starting to make an appearance. I have yet to find somebody to interview or even express much interest, pushing the deadline slightly. However, I am still hopeful that I will be able to find someone soon. Thankfully, there is an abundance of skilled professionals in a relatively close proximity, so I can continue my search.

Of course, I am still aware of the fact that I am asking to interview very talented, hardworking individuals who are many years in my senior. However, I am determined to make this worth both my time and theirs. When I was being interviewed to join this class, I was given the advice to take every chance and opportunity I was given; that's the true way to get the most out of ISM. There's no room for hesitation or second-guessing- you just have to gather yourself and go. This ideal is one I'd like to live up to, however much it may force me outside of my comfort zone. I've been in this so-called "comfort zone" for far too long now. I am ready to take a step into the deep end and do something entirely new and scary.

Failure is a real possibility, but that's just another way to learn. I will be able to pick myself up, brush myself off, and keep going on this journey. To say this is how I'd predicted this class going is a lie, but I'm prepared to keep my chin up and continue.
