A Well-Needed Break

Last week was the school's spring break. It was much needed and provided a reset for all of my classes. Sleeping in and relaxing was admittedly very enjoyable.

Now it is time to go back to work. Although I did not do immense amounts of work for my final product over the break, I reorganized my work and reflected on what I have so far. Planning out the rest of my schedule has cleared up the my goals for the next four weeks.

I aim to finish gathering all of the basic data by this week and begin working with Sonic Visualizer to get more conceptual information on the songs. I am unsure of how long the more complex programs will take to work with and complete. It is imperative to figure this out sooner rather than later to determine how complex of a creation I can make. Time is always the biggest limiter and this is no exception. Perhaps I will continue working on this after the final presentation and make an official paper. It is most definitely ambitious, however it would be amazing to get a paper officially published.

In tangent, I hope to create the final paper. I remember that the paper of my original work took an unanticipated amount of time, therefore hope to learn from this when continuing to work on this paper.

In other news, I have had someone accept my request to be my mentor. This is extremely exciting, however I will wait until full confirmation to speak more about this. Just know, that seeing the acceptance made my day, after months of stressing about it. In this final stretch, there is much to do, but things are looking up.
