A Celebration - The Finished and Unfinished

As of today, I have officially finished and published my original work. The full market report may have only been 9 pages long, however it is filled with information that will be valuable for businesses and consumers. Completing such an overarching deadline feels like a sigh of relief, especially so after a very busy and stressful week.

With winter break starting in just 3 days, I see this as a cause for celebration. I completed a crucial milestone marking my halfway point for ISM this school year. Time truly has flown by and I cannot fathom how we've already made it through half of this school year. My original work is not perfect by any means, its flaws are plain to see, however it is an important step of my journey and allowed me to learn about more than just the fashion industry.

The feeling of finishing a long project, one constantly hanging over your head, is a feeling that is only known by those who have done the same. The relief, exhaustion, and satisfaction are overwhelming.

However, my work is not quite done. The task of getting a mentor is imminent. This is the next deadline that hangs over me.

While I could dwell on this fact and incite another cause of dread, I will not do so. I will celebrate each victory as they come and not worry myself over the next due date. I have an entire two weeks where I can communicate and interview professionals, so it is not as if school will be in the way.

After all, most of our best work takes time. Happy holidays!
